What’s new with Aptar
We have an exciting position open in Aptar Mezzovico: R&D Development Engineer, reporting to Head of R&D Technical Office. This position will be based in Mezzovico and will be in charge of technical activities supporting R&D developments, projects and prototyping molds.
This is how your journey begins
Molding duties:
- You will lead R&D molding trials at the suppliers and manage the related documentation
- You will manage the R&D stock and purchase the resins/materials needed for mold trials
Prototyping duties:

- You will design and be in charge of the realization of R&D molds, assembly tools and control instruments
- You will prepare prototypes and mock-ups which represents new products or modifications of the current ones
- You will be responsible of the good functionality of pilot molds, keeping them updated and in good conditions
- You will support R&D Lab. and Quality department with the preparation of test's instruments, jigs and specific products
Development duties:
- You will support Continuous Improvement activities, Change Controls and R&D projects
- You will conduct technical studies, simulations & statistical data analysis and propose product modifications and improvements related to the product
What you will bring on the journey
- Education: degree in engineering or an established technical competence in plastic inj. moulding engineering and mechanical construction
- Excellent technical understanding in moulding and assembly engineering
- Plastic packaging molding/assembly knowledge
- Knowledge of CAD and preferably FEA systems
- Fluent English written and spoken
- Teamwork ability and be able to work independently
