The Web3 Foundation nurtures and stewards technologies and applications for the decentralized web. We collaborate with cutting-edge developer teams, researchers and community leaders to strengthen and extend the uses of decentralized technologies; building the future of identity, privacy, financial markets, commerce, and more.

Our core project at the moment is Polkadot, a protocol designed to connect blockchains and allow them to interoperate, share security and more. In addition, we are supporting the development of a number of technologies that form the Web 3.0 tech stack - such as decentralized messaging, distributed storage or secret management.

We're seeking a new member to join our SecOps team; someone who thrives in an open, collaborative and research driven environment, where embracing new technologies and lean implementation approaches is fundamental.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tools for monitoring the Polkadot blockchain and interacting with chain events
  • Design and automate unit and integration tests
  • Work closely with SREs to increase observability and reliability of services
  • Participate in on-call rotation, failure resolution and post-mortem analysis



Requirements

  • Proficient in the development of lean, maintainable software (with a preference for Typescript and Node.js)
  • Proficient in Linux
  • Experience in REST architecture
  • Familiarity with containerization, databases, and Open Source ecosystems
  • Systematic and precise approach to problem-solving
  • Self-driven team player with a strong sense of ownership
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, incl. the ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation
  • Fluent in english, oral and written
