About H55
As the technological spin-off of Solar Impulse, the first electric airplane to fly around the world, the mission of H55, is to make aviation clean, safe, and affordable.
The company’s strengths and competencies lie in developing propulsion and energy storage solutions which are modular, lightweight, and certifiable.
Having integrated and flown 4 electric airplanes, the Swiss start-up has been selected by Pratt & Whitney Canada to provide the battery pack for its regional hybrid-electric flight demonstrator. This recent announcement is a further illustration of H55’s position as a major enabler in the electric commuter market.
About the role
In the frame of its product development (Electric Propulsion System and Modular Battery Pack), H55 is searching for an embedded software engineer.
Within a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for the software development and testing, ensuring that the design implementation meets the required needs, safety and reliability objectives.
You will report directly to the Software Team Leader.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
Definition of the software architecture taking into account the real time constraints, hardware and maintainability.
Create/Review:
- Software requirements
- Software architecture
- Software code (C, C++, Python)
- Software verification
- Maintain detailed and meticulous documentation throughout entire process
- Manage all data under your responsibility according to our DO-178 development methodologies and configuration management rules.
- Develop and maintain test/development environment
Your Profile
- Bachelor or Master degree in the relevant domain
- Initial experience or internship in embedded software development and/or testing is desired
- Experience with following languages : C, C++, Python (at least during the studies)
- Demonstrated ability to follow through and bring projects to completion
- Target-oriented, with analytic problem-solving capabilities
- Well organized including ability to properly document
- Capacity to prioritize, manage time effectively and multi-task
- Fluency in English (oral and written), French an asset.
Will be an advantage, but not a must:
- Experience in software testing: Rapita RVS, Polyspace, FitNesse
- Experience in continuous integration: Jenkins
- Experience in requirement management: CodeBeamer or other
- Experience with Aerospace requirements or another highly regulated domain.
