Automation Test Engineer

 

We are looking for an Automation Test Engineerwith a main responsibility in designing, implementing and maintaining test scenarios and tools to uphold the highest quality assurance standards for the broad range of automation products.

 

The preferred location for this position is in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.

 

Your role and responsibilities 

 

As an Automation Test Engineeryour work will focus on the following responsibilities:

 

  • Testing on the simulator of engine prototype functions with attention on both functionality and user interface.
  • Testing on engine software for reproducing reported issues and perform a detailed RCA.
  • Checking the goodness of the documentation received for the tests (if available) and provide proper feedback for improve their readability.
  • Working hand-in-hand with Engine control System software developers.
  • When needed, develop on both software and hardware point of view custom test benches needed for the tests. The design, maintenance and usage of the testing tools are part of the daily activities.
  • Report the performed activities.

 

The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of automation and control team with diverse expertise.

 

Requirements for the position 

 

  • Master’s degree in automation, electrical engineering or related filed.
  • At least 3 years of experience in testing and Validation activities.
  • Motivated to drive the prototype code to production-level quality.
  • RCA skill is a must.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to produce production-level code.
  • Excellent reporting skills.
  • Willingness to travel (15% working time).
  • Fluent in English.

 

As an ideal candidate you might also have... 

 

  • Capable to work independently as well as in Team.
  • LabVIEW (Real Time / FPGA) skills.
  • MATLAB / Simulink tools skills.
  • PLC programming skills.
  • German language is a plus.
